ride. I didn't see any civilisation inside the pub when I was there.

to take the parents or to walk out to across Port Meadow. Rumoured to have been

Good beer; lots interesting interior decorations hanging from the ceiling; good
atmosphere - what more do you want? It has a Monopoly board with Oxford streets
on it painted round the ceiling. Great.

Replaces the old Gatehouse, and I suppose it's a bit more salubrious, but I
hate this sort of place. Restaurant at one end, modern bar at other, with
blinds and adverts for cheap cocktails. Probably dead sophisticated to people
who like Yates Wine Lodge.
